In the Zurich area, Andreas Benz from Fahr-Erlebnis is working on converting his apple orchard from conventional to organic farming. Here, we are implementing targeted measures to strengthen both the plantation's flora and fauna and increase biodiversity.
An exciting and very diverse assignment!
A wild hedge will be planted on the northern edge of the plantation. This will serve as a food source for pollinators such as wild bees and also act as a networking element for small mammals such as weasels. We will also build two weasel forts made of stone and wood, providing valuable habitats for these small predators. A natural fence planted with hops and ivy, as well as piles of branches and stones, will create additional habitats and serve as a networking element for the small mammals.
With this commitment, you are making an important contribution to preserving nature and simultaneously creating a habitat that supports important beneficial insects. Become part of this project and help us shape the future of the apple orchard in a sustainable and ecological way.
