Why is your commitment so important?
As a nature conservation volunteer, you'll help preserve habitats that would otherwise disappear without care. You'll protect biodiversity and enable projects that would otherwise lack staff, budget, or simply the time and energy. Without your commitment, a piece of nature would be lost – with your help, it will stay alive!
WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT FROM THE NATURE NETWORK?
Not only meaningful work, but also a fun and educational experience awaits you! With us, you'll work outdoors with other volunteers in teams of six – often in places you'd never otherwise discover. Depending on the season, you'll help mow species-rich meadows, build ponds, trim shrubs, or remove invasive neophytes. Some days are physically challenging. You can relax around the campfire and in the cozy accommodation, know what you've accomplished, and enjoy an after-work beer with your group.

WHAT CAN WE OFFER YOU?
After the easy registration process, you can expect a fun, friendly, and relaxed atmosphere. You'll get fit and, in addition to the practical work, learn a lot about plants, animals, and habitats. Our project leaders share their knowledge with you, and you'll practice the safe use of various tools and machines. Starting at 54 days, you'll attend the nature and environmental protection course, and if you're interested and need it, you'll also take the chainsaw course. This knowledge will continue to benefit you after your deployment—whether in your everyday life, at work, or outdoors in nature.
This summer, you are cordially invited to the Naturnetz Summer Festival – where we will celebrate the past year and the work we have done!
WHERE CAN YOU GET INVOLVED?
We have four different locations where you can volunteer. Check out the special features of our locations: Mittelland , Northeastern Switzerland , Graubünden , Ticino . If you want to be in as many locations as possible and are also available for other exciting projects throughout Switzerland, then our location-independent mobile Einsatzgruppe is the right one for you. You can specify your location preferences when registering.
DO YOU NEED ACCOMMODATION?
No problem! For community service volunteers who come from further afield, we offer free overnight accommodation at all locations. Register early, as rooms are limited! You can view pictures of the accommodation and facilities on the location pages linked in the previous text. If you prefer to sleep at home during your community service, that's no problem if you live within commuting distance.

HOW LONG WILL YOUR MISSION LAST?
The minimum assignment duration is four weeks. Of course, you can also work with us for longer periods. The advantage of longer assignments is that you can work on a wider variety of projects, and we can train you more specifically for specific tasks. By the way, if you work for a long period of at least 180 days, you're also entitled to paid vacation! You can register directly at the bottom of the page or via e zivi / Zivi Connect.
