Sandro Wyss
project management of the civil service
Sandro Wyss has been working as a project manager at Naturnetz Mittelland since March 2019. His responsibilities include the maintenance of cantonal nature reserves in the Furttal, the upkeep of municipal protected areas along the Wehrenbachtobel in Zurich Witikon and the control of neophytes in the western districts of Zurich.
He completed his bachelor's degree in environmental engineering at the ZHAW in Wädenswil with a focus on 'organic farming and horticulture' and a minor in 'species knowledge of beneficial organisms/pests'. With his experience as operations manager at the Nature Network in 2018 and with various additional training courses in the field of nature conservation (pond construction, small structures, LIWA/forest edge, Karch reptiles, chainsaw), he feels at home at the interface between nature conservation and agriculture. As a trained mechanical engineer with professional experience, he also brings technical understanding.
He also cultivates his passion for nature in his private life. He maintains a natural garden and can often be found hiking, skiing or doing all kinds of water sports.
