For the Hase&Co project by Pro Natura, we were allowed to go to the Subigerberg in the Thal Nature Park.

On a summer pasture on the south-facing slope, the pasture area that had grown into the forest was thinned out by the local forestry company down to the old pasture boundary. To do this, some of the old trees and a large part of the young growth were cut, ringed and pulled to deeper places in the forest where they were accessible to machines.

In order to make the pasture accessible for the grazing animals again, we were allowed to stack the cut material into small and large piles on the steep and difficult to access terrain. We leveled the area so that the turf could close properly again. The pasture is listed in the nature conservation inventory as being of national importance and provides a habitat for rare plant and animal species.
