Path of the Senses

Located in the municipality of Vico Morcote, the "Path of the Sensory" allows visitors to experience nature with all five senses. Along the short path, you can appreciate the majesty of a chestnut tree with your eyes or the scent of a bark with your nose. There is also the opportunity to discover information panels that allow you to get to know the area and engage with the relevant natural and cultural elements.

In April 2022, a Nature Network team looked after the path for three weeks. First, all dangerous plants had to be cut down and secured to make the path safe. In a second step, the civil engineers widened the path using pickaxes and hoe and removed stones from the path. Certain passages were made safer and more comfortable to walk on by building steps made of stone and wood or by erecting a 10 m high fence made of chestnut wood. In a final step, the civil engineers cleaned the path and renewed the signage to make the path easy to walk on again.
