Welcome to the information page for community service workers! Here you will find everything you need to know - from registration to the locations where you can work at Naturnetz. There is also information about courses, equipment and the special requirements for various Naturnetz locations.
Community service is an alternative to military service in Switzerland. You work on socially useful projects, e.g. in environmental protection, social services or education . At Naturnetz you can take part in projects in nature and environmental conservation. In order to be able to perform community service, the following criteria must be met:
Fit for military service : You must be classified as fit for military service when recruited.
Decision of conscience : In your application you declare that you cannot reconcile military service with your conscience.
Induction day : After submitting your application, you will attend the induction day within three months.
Willingness to serve : You are prepared to perform community service in accordance with legal requirements.
You can submit the application online via the E-ZIVI portal as soon as you have been found fit for military service. If you are already doing military service and submit the application later, you must continue your service until you are admitted to civilian service. Exception: If you submit the application at least three months before basic training or a refresher course, you do not have to enlist. First of all, register on the E-Zivi portal using this link .
Civilian service lasts 1.5 times longer than military service.
If you have not completed basic training or have only completed part of it, you must complete at least 180 days of service (6 months) within the first three years after admission.
If you have completed basic training, different rules apply.
Community service is generally carried out full-time ; part-time work is not possible. If you have any questions, please contact the relevant regional center .
Wenn du deinen Einsatz nicht antrittst, abbrichst oder unentschuldigt fehlst, kann das Bundesamt für Zivildienst Disziplinarmassnahmen verhängen. Mögliche Folgen sind eine Verlängerung der Dienstzeit, eine Busse oder in schweren Fällen eine strafrechtliche Untersuchung.
💡 Halte dich an die vereinbarten Einsatzzeiten – offene Kommunikation mit dem Einsatzbetrieb hilft, Probleme zu vermeiden!
Der Zivildienst wird grundsätzlich in der Schweiz geleistet.
Auslandseinsätze sind nur in Ausnahmefällen möglich und gehören nicht zum regulären Programm.
Damit ein Einsatz im Ausland bewilligt wird, muss er
klar der Schweiz zugeordnet sein (z. B. über eine Schweizer Organisation, ein offizielles Mandat oder eine Partnerschaft) und
vom Bundesamt für Zivildienst (ZIVI) offiziell anerkannt werden.
Wenn du dich für einen Auslandseinsatz interessierst, solltest du dein Vorhaben frühzeitig mit dem Zivi Amt / deinem Regionalzentrum besprechen.
💡 Beim Naturnetz finden alle regulären Einsätze in der Schweiz statt.
Dein Arbeitgeber muss dich für die Dauer des Zivildienstes freistellen – das ist gesetzlich geregelt.
Die Zeit im Zivildienst kann zudem als Berufserfahrung anerkannt werden, besonders bei Tätigkeiten im Umwelt-, Sozial- oder Bildungsbereich.
💡 Sprich mit deinem Arbeitgeber oder deiner Schule frühzeitig über deine Einsatzplanung – so lassen sich Konflikte leicht vermeiden.
