The Gloggenmaas Nature Reserve is located in Birmensdorf. This area is home to endangered plant species, such as the rare carnivorous sundew, the Swiss elecampane, and the flesh-colored orchid. Rare and endangered insects, such as the Corn Fritillary, the Marbled White, and many dragonfly species, also call Gloggenmaas home.

Unfortunately, various invasive plants grow there, which pose strong competition to the native flora. Our efforts focus on controlling North American goldenrod and native reeds, which cover large areas of the nature reserve.

Join us in fighting these invasive species, learn about rare Swiss plant species, and give them a chance to grow and thrive!
