Joris Schenker

Joris has a diverse professional background in forestry, gastronomy, and environmental education. He is a qualified forester (EFZ), a restaurant manager with a federal professional certificate, holds a CAS in Leadership, and will complete his postgraduate studies to become a federally certified adventure educator in 2025. He gained his experience in environmental education over the years as a group leader for forest project weeks for the Bergwald educational workshop, as a J+S sport climbing leader for the youth organization of the Swiss Alpine Club, and as the restaurant manager at the Treibhaus youth culture center in Lucerne.

In his free time, he is often outdoors – whether paddling a kayak on rivers and lakes, climbing rocks, or spending time with his family in Lucerne.

Since April 2025, he has headed the environmental education department at Naturnetz – with the goal of making nature experiences meaningful, sustainable, inspiring, and tangible, while creating concrete and ecological added value for people and the environment.
