Elena Eigenheer
Project management civil service
Elena is a landscape architect with a deep connection to nature. Growing up in Alsace in a family of gardeners and artists, she learned early on that gardens should not just be designed, but understood as dynamic living spaces.
After studying process design in Basel, she deepened her knowledge by studying landscape architecture at OST Rapperswil. At the same time, she worked as a landscape gardener, rehabilitating dry-stone walls, and discovered her passion for working in the mountains. In addition to her practical work, environmental education is also important to her – because you can only protect what you know. Therefore, she leads field trips for school classes to wild bees, beavers, and weasels.
She has lived in Innerferrera since 2024 and is involved with the Graubünden Nature Network, working to preserve biodiversity, protect species, and enhance and maintain nature reserves. In her free time, she enjoys cycling or hiking through the mountains, tending her garden, and passionately exploring the flora and fauna on her travels.
